ABOUT
Hello and welcome, you!
My name is Laura Murillo Hart, and I am a Colombian-American multidisciplinary artist working at the crossroads of actor-creation, music, and movement. I hold a BFA in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University and an MFA from Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre, and I am deeply devoted to lifelong training and the work of a teaching artist alongside my performing career.
I make theatre that is visceral, playful, and transformative—work that invites audiences to step into strange and tender worlds. Musicality lives at the heart of my practice; as a song weaver and lover of language, I paint with words and sound, letting rhythm and melody guide the stories I tell. Movement is equally essential, using the body as a vessel for healing, imagination, and dynamic self-expression.
I am the founder and artistic director of Foggy Notion Physical Theatre, where I create and produce original devised works that I tour across the country. I am especially drawn to theatre that flirts with the absurd and the divine. In these turbulent times, my artistic mission is to create work that serves community—particularly the Latine community—offering spaces for connection, reflection, and wonder. I have had the joy of working with Lookingglass Theatre Company and collaborating with physical theatre companies such as Fox and Beggar Theatre.
I am proudly represented by Gray Talent Group.
Thank you for visiting my little corner of the wide web—I hope you enjoy wandering through my work.
