ABOUT
𓀎Hello beautiful human(s)! 𓀎
My name is Laura Murillo Hart and I am a Colombian-American multidisciplinary artist with a focus in actor-creation, music, and movement. I live to create visceral worlds on stage that both transport and transform audiences. I have a childlike wonder in me that is present in everything I do, and so I'd describe my work as a kaleidoscopic mess of love! My passions expand beyond acting, as I am a song weaver and love to paint with words. Musicality is a huge part of my world and informs everything I create. Furthermore, I am deeply passionate about movement and using the body as a tool for healing and dynamic self expression. All of these passions inspire me to create my own wild works of theatre, while also bringing the best of myself to whatever projects I am brought on board for!
Devising theatre that evokes the absurd and divine is my calling. We are living through turbulent and uncertain times, and it is my mission as an artist to create art that serves the community, specifically the Latine community.
I am a graduate of The Theatre School at DePaul University(2016-2018...2021-2023) and Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre(2019-2021). I took an unconventional path through higher education, completing my BFA in acting in two separate time frames, while sandwiching an MFA program in between. (It's weird, I know), but I have loved every moment of theatre training, and hope to pursue being a teaching artist alongside with acting!
I am proudly represented by Gray Talent Group!
Thank you for visiting my little corner of the wide web, and I hope you enjoy looking around!
